Fall is just around the corner and many folks are already starting to decorate as the seasons change. Start your decorating by crocheting pumpkins for your home.
With this pattern I made my WELCOME banner with crochet letters. You can find the full pattern here:
The pumpkin is worked in the round. Continue working in the same direction. Do not turn work after each round.
Pumpkin Round 1: Using color orange, make a magic circle/ slipknot circle. Ch 3 (counts as a dc now and throughout), 9 dc into circle, slst to top of ch 3 to join. 10 dc total. Round 2: Ch 3, dc in same st, WORK IN THE BACK LOOPS ONLY NOW AND THROUGHOUT RND 2, 2 dc in next and in every st around, slst to top of ch 3 to join. 20 dc total. Round 3: Ch 2, WORK IN THE BACK LOOPS ONLY (sc, hdc) in next, dc, (dc, htr), tr, (tr, htr), dc, 2 dc, hdc, (hdc, sc), sc, (sc, hdc), hdc, 2 dc, dc, (htr, tr), tr, (htr, dc), dc, (hdc, sc), slst to top of ch 2 to join. Round 4: Ch 1, WORK IN THE BACK LOOPS ONLY, sc in next 5 sts, [ 2 hdc, hdc, hdc], repeat [ ], sc in next 7 sts, *2 hdc, hdc, hdc, repeat from *, sc in next 5 sts, slst to ch 1. Change to color . Top: Ch 8, dc in 5th ch from hook, dc in next st, hdc, sc, slst onto pumpkin. Fasten off.
