This easy to crochet pattern is sure to make heads turn.
You're either gunna love this one or hate it. When I showed my kids what I made they scrunched their noses at me and asked why? All I could do was laugh.
Believe it or not, cat butts are showing up on crochet projects all over the world wide web.
All it takes is a quick google search and you will find an endless array of products and patterns featuring this feline booty. Coasters, brooches, and bags have people gawking at the sight of this fopaux.
So here is a free applique pattern, of my own design, for anyone who is a cat lady at heart.
Cat Butt Applique

Round 1: Using size G crochet hook and worsted weight yarn, (I used Red Heart Super Saver Solids) make a magic circle/ slipknot circle with pink yarn. Ch 1 (does not count as a st), 8 sc into the circle, slst into first sc to join. Fasten off. 8 SC STS TOTAL.
Round 2: Join gray yarn in any sc st, ch 3 (counts as a dc st) dc in same st, 2 dc in next and each sc st around, slst to top of ch 3 to join. 16 DC STS TOTAL.
Round 3: Ch 2 (counts as a sc st), sc in same st, 2 sc in next and every st around, slst to top of ch 2 to join. Fasten off. 32 SC STS TOTAL.
Tail: Using color gray ch 10, sc in 3rd ch from hook, sc in next, 2 sc, 2 sc, sc, sc, sc, sc. Fasten off.
Feet (make 2): Ch 6, hdc in 3rd ch from hook, hdc in next, hdc in last. Fasten off.
I started with the applique and then ventured to turn it into matching granny squares.
